Pagliacci Leoncavallo

Pagliacci by the italian composer Ruggero Leoncavallo is a one hour long opera, with a hyper realistic plot moved by betrayal, revenge and greed in the heart of a Clown Company, with great musical moments, that became very soon big opera hits recognised by everyone.

Emotion, passion and hate, with all its veracity and ferocity by flech and blood characters highlights this veristic opera, brief in time, but very intense and realistic. The action takes place in 1870, in a Callabrian village, during the religious festivies in August.

Opera do Castelo brings Canios Company to the XXI century, more precisely to the historic heart of Lisbon city. The birth of fado welcomes finally opera, with the Arlecchino singing fado!

The realistic intensity of this opera, its passionate music and  short time are three strong reasons for a successful first opera experience!
